Sun Safe Message Not Getting Through To Some Aussies

During 2011, 46 South Australians were admitted to hospital for sunburn. A statistic that deeply concerns Cancer Council SA CEO, Brenda Wilson.

Of those admitted for sunburn, almost 1/4 were children. Brenda said that “Serious sunburn can greatly contribute to a person’s risk of developing skin cancer, especially in children when overexposure to UV radiation is more likely to contribute to skin cancer in later life”.
