Reports show that less Queenslanders are paying even less attention to the slip slop slap message over the winter months.
Only 2.5% of Queenslanders practice sun protection during winter, a drop from 3.6% in 2011.
Queensland has among the highest rates of skin cancer in the world. Even in winter, there are a number of days where sun protection is still required.
Those aged 18-24 have proven to be the least sun smart demographic, with less than 1% practicing all the required sun smart methods in winter.
