Landon Donovan, who plays and stars for the LA Galaxy and Team USA soccer teams, has partnered with The Skin Cancer Foundation (USA) to promote sun safety awareness to men.
The campaign is designed to encourage men to adopt proper sun safety practices to help avoid skin cancer.
Skin cancer awareness is close to Donovan’s heart after his father was diagnosed with skin cancer. Thankfully his father’s skin cancer was caught early allowing for successful treatment.

As a specialist in onsite skin cancer screening for workplaces, Spotscreen Corporate Director Andrew Sheppard says that “we generally find that males are less likely to undertake a skin cancer screening or use proper sun safety protection when required. Any campaign which targets skin cancer awareness in or out of the workplace is a step in the right direction”.
