Skin Cancer Diagnosis May Increase Your Cancer Risk

An interesting study out of the US shows that those who have been previously diagnosed with non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC) may be at a greater risk of developing other types if cancers in the future.

The research conducted at Harvard, showed that males diagnosed with NMSC may be at a 15% increased risk of a cancer diagnosis in the future, while women diagnosed with NMSC may be up to a 26% increased risk.

This took into account figures from over 36,000 NMSC sufferers and almost 30,000 other cancer sufferers.
