Workplaces in NZ Asked to Step Up Sun Protection

Researchers at the University of Otago have conducted a significant research program into sun protection practices in outdoor workers.

Surveying more than 1000 outdoor workers in New Zealand, the study found that only one third are suitably protected from ultra-violet radiation.

Nine different outdoor working industries were included in the research, such as forestry, roading, sawmilling, postal delivery, viticulture, landscaping, construction, horticulture and farming.
